  • What is your event cancellation policy? I reserve my services with a small non-refundable deposit. That can be applied toward future services if the service date and time need to be changed. Otherwise, cancellation is acceptable under these circumstances. .

  • How many wedding do you officiate a year? It varies from 100 to 200 typically now. .

  • How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel fee? I am willing to travel about 70 miles or so outside Las Vegas. I normally serve Clark County and Lake Mead areas, Moappa, Henderson and Boulder City. .

  • What are your standard payment terms? I require a deposit to confirm. Usually the wedding ceremony deposit is $25.00 non-refundable. If I provide wedding planning services the deposit can vary but is on a sliding scale. .

  • What makes you different from other local wedding officiants? Why should someone hire you? I believe that I have a very calming demeanor and voice. Many couples have commented that I helped them feel more at ease and less stressful during the ceremony. I also have many years of experience that the couple can benefit from. In all my years of service, I have always been dependable, caring and professional. I also love what I do and that shows. .

  • What kind of pre-wedding counseling is required, if any? None is required but it is nice to get acquainted and be able to talk at length or meet in person and discuss the couples history and circumstances. .

  • How long after the ceremony do you file for the official marriage license? I file the paperwork with the County Recorder's office within 1 week. I have 10 days to do so but I try to get in recorded as soon as possible and will take the paperwork in more quickly if the couple has special circumstances. .

  • Do you have a back up officiant on call, in case of an emergency? Yes. I have other officiants I work with as a team. I can call many to support me in the event that I cannot make it but that has only happened once in my many years of service. I make sure I am dependable and don't cancel as a general rule. .

  • Do you normally attend the reception? Not generally due to the fact that I have other weddings to attend either before or after the couples I serve. .

  • How long does the ceremony usually last? The short ceremonies typically last about 5-7 minutes but I have done many which were customized that lasted 20-30 minutes. Those ceremonies typically have readings, music or special events within the. Most often, couples want the ceremony to remain short but meaningful. .

  • Will you marry couples of different faiths or previous divorce? Yes. I have married and served many couples who fall under these circumstances. I don't judge and am very open minded and flexible regarding each situation. I often tailor the ceremony to meet the request of the couple incorporating cultural traditions and creating unique ceremonies. .

  • What documents do I need to bring to our first meeting? There are no documents required for the first meeting. On the wedding day however the couple will need to have the marriage license issued by the courthouse they are closest to in Nevada. I explain it thoroughly before the wedding day. .

  • In which states and communities are you licensed to officiate ceremonies? The entire state of Nevada. .

  • Can we read or hear your ceremony before our wedding day? Absolutely! I send the couple many choices via e-mail once I determine what the couple wants. Then the couple will look over and pre-view the ceremonies first. Then we can meet and customize the ceremonies to meet the needs of the couple and get acquainted. .

  • Will you allow us to write our own vows? Yes. I think it is important to be very open minded and flexible about the couples special requests. I encourage the couple to get involved and input their ideas and requests. .
